The Raindrop Technique

The Raindrop Technique is a powerful tool that can help achieve balance in the body and often has profound effects in the area of supporting these areas: strong immune functioning, pain, structural alignment and a general sense of well-being. Anointing the spine and feet with selected oils and particular massage techniques, the Raindrop Technique is rebalancing to all of the body’s systems and supportive to structural and energetic alignment. Many people have benefited from this progressive application to manage pain, correct spinal deformities and to promote optimal well-being.

The Raindrop Technique is a powerful, non-invasive tool for assisting the body in correcting defects in the curvature of the spine. During the years that is has been practiced, it has resolved numerous cases of scoliosis and kyphosis and eliminated the need for back surgery for thousands of people.

Raindrop Technique originated in the 1980s from the research of D. Gary Young working with a Lakota medicine man named Wallace Black Elk. It integrates Vita Flex and massage, utilizing the power of essential oils in bringing the body into structural and electrical alignment.

Raindrop Technique is based on the theory that many types of scoliosis and spinal misalignments are caused by viruses or bacteria that lie dormant along the spine.  These pathogens create inflammation, which, in turn, contorts and disfigures the spinal column.

Raindrop Technique is a fresh, unique approach to bodywork utilizing therapeutic-quality essential oils:  Aroma Siez, Basil, Cypress, Marjoram, Oregano, Peppermint, Wintergreen, Thyme, Valor, Ortho Ease

Raindrop Technique uses a sequence of highly antimicrobial essential oils designed to simultaneously reduce inflammation and kill the responsible viral agents. The principle single essential oils used include:

  •    thyme (Thymus vulgaris)

  •    oregano (Origanum compactum)

  •    wintergreen/birch (Gaultheria procumbens)/(Betula alleghaniensis),

  •    cypress (Cupressus sempervirens)

  •    peppermint (Mentha piperita)

  •    basil (Ocimum basilicum)

  •    marjoram (Origanum majorana)

The essential oils are dispensed like little drops of rain from a height of about six inches above the back and massaged along the vertebrae and back muscles.  Although the entire process takes about 45 minutes to complete, the essential oils will continue to work in the body for up to one week following treatment, with continued re-alignment taking place during this time.

Due to the properties of the various essential oils used in the treatment, Raindrop Technique also strengthens the immune system, loosens tight muscles in the back, and is very relaxing. Additional essential oils can be added to the treatment to address and support your individual needs.

The Raindrop Technique is not a cure-all or a magic bullet. A healthy balanced body is the result of a well-rounded program of exercise and proper diet. The Raindrop Technique is only one tool to help restore balance in the body that will result in good health. Healthy eating habits and a positive, open mind will help prepare the body and skin to accept the essential oils better and more rapidly.

Vita Flex Technique

Vita Flex Technique means “vitality through the reflexes.” It is a specialized form of hand and foot massage that is exceptionally effective in delivering the benefits of essential oils throughout the body. It is said to have originated in Tibet thousands of years ago, and was perfected in modern times by Stanley Burroughs long before acupuncture was popular in Western medicine.

It is based on a complete network of reflex points that stimulate all the internal body systems. Oils are applied to contact points, and energy is released through electrical impulses created by contact between the fingertips and reflex points. This electrical charge follows the nerve pathways to a break in the electrical circuit caused by toxins, damaged tissues, or loss of oxygen. There are more than 1,400 Vita Flex points throughout the human body, encompassing the entire realm of body and mind, that are capable of releasing many kinds of tension, congestion, and imbalances.

In contrast to the steady stimulation of Reflexology, Vita Flex uses a rolling and releasing motion that involves placing all four fingers flat on the skin, rolling onto the fingertips, and continuing over onto the fingernail. Rapid and extraordinary results are experienced when combining essential oils with Vita Flex stimulation, as it increases the effect of both.

Lymphatic Pump

Maintaining lymph circulation is one of the keys to keeping the immune system adequately functioning. This technique is designed to promote lymph circulation. It is an excellent tool for those who are sedentary or bedridden.

"My son and I did the first Raindrop session this morning on my husband who is recovering from a car accident that resulted in his having two discs in his neck removed and a steel plate and coral inserted. The oils have done wonders for his pain, but the Raindrop... was awesome! At the part of the process where I was holding his ankles and Wyatt was holding his Dad's head, I saw his shortened leg release. At first, his leg was close to a half inch shorter. After the Raindrop, they were nearly the same length! Utterly, amazingly, blessedly, gloriously, awesome!  Wow!               --Marilynn S.

"...I have had 2 raindrops done on myself. They are wonderful. I am so relaxed afterwards, mind sharper, pain gone. It's really wonderful.  I recommended it for an older friend of mine. Before the beginning of the treatment he said his pain level was 9; afterwards he said a 1. He has now had 3 [Raindrops] and is totally pain free..."               --Nel

"I did a Raindrop Technique on my husband 3 days ago. He has a herniated disc, sciatica that runs down his right leg, a mass on his kidney, and scar tissue left over from two hernia operations that I am treating with frankincense and lavender. He has had NO PAIN for 3 days. He is so excited and glad that I spent the money."               --Carol McIlvane

"I expect that essential oils may someday prove a vital weapon in the fight against strains of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Lavender, thyme and tea-tree [Melaleuca] oils have been used for centuries as antiseptics; their chemical compounds appear to kill microbes on contact."               --Andrew Weil, M.D., Self-Healing Series, Oct. 1996
